JEE Advanced is the admission test for the Indian Institutes of Technology and a handful of other institutions. Only candidates who clear the JEE Main cut-off may sit it, which makes it one of the most selective undergraduate examinations anywhere.
Among the top JEE Main qualifiers (the cut-off is announced each year), within the permitted number of attempts and age limit, having passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Two compulsory papers of 3 hours each on the same day, covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with a question pattern that changes from year to year by design.
